I present as autistic, although I have never been diagnosed as such. I cannot turn down the opportunity to make puns. I do not “get” emotions. Life is “going through the motions”. Perfumes either make me choke, or mask the sounds of the outside. I can count on my hand the number of time I have lied. I feel everything with extreme passion outwardly. I feel very little inwardly. It is hard to explain things without using literary devices. I don’t trust people who like me. Most of my life I have been afraid. My favourite colour is orange. I have faith in few, and it is always the brave. I want to be left alone, but it’s touch that I crave.

Titan

We sink
in pieces,
far from the sunlight -
the tendrils
of darkness
wrapping coldly around.

Pressure,
and strength -
the handshake of death
that pulls
further down
into the inky void.

Landing
softly
on the ribs of a giant,

Parallel play

When I write

on my own

I am distracted very easily.

When I write

with you close

I can concentrate fully.

When I look

at the ceiling

your scent pervades

each moment.

And the stuffed toy

smiles in hope.

I dreamed of you again…

It was a different planet,
a different world -
you were old
and I was a girl.

The butterflies that settled
on the roof of
what could be
left each and every
pupae
confused with
how they seem.

I dreamed of you last...

In games of life and death,
no-one wins,
not really.

But the flip-side reveals a lot,
a chance to note
what’s
going on.

“Your presence heals me.”

Have re-read this for the first time since writing it.

Very mawkish.

Poorly written.

I think the sentiment has some good that shines through.

I shall rest,
with your permission.

I shall write,
with no contrition.

A moment’s pause,
a chance to think…
that tick’ling touch -
a call to drink.

So I shall rest
at the edge of tracks,

a chance to truly
hit the max.
