Analysis of Qoph
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
With my whole heart I cry,
Please answer me O Lord;
Your Law I not deny;
Let me not be ignored.
I call on you to save,
And hear you testify;
To rescue from the grave,
So I can glorify.
I rise up before dawn,
To find hope in Your Word;
Before my faith is gone,
Flies away like a bird.
My eyes have been awake,
For watching through the night;
I plea you not forsake,
As I search for Your light.
So I will meditate,
The promise of Your Word;
Trying to imitate,
That my sight is not blurred.
Show me Your steadfast love,
With justice from Your voice;
Show a sign from above,
That helps me to rejoice.
The enemy draws near,
They are far from Your Law;
And never showing fear,
Not worried of a flaw.
But You are near O Lord,
Your commandments are true;
I keep in one accord,
And will remain with You.
Because long have I known,
Your testaments I found;
Has been a solid stone,
Wonderful to astound.
