Covid19
Some called it Corona, others called it covid19. (Covid nineteen)
But what I called it was the enemy within.
Originated from China, Wuhan to be specific.
Spread abroad like wide fire, across the oceanic.
Affected a lot, both the known and the unknown.
Had enough guts to even unsit people from the throne.
Laid it's hands on celebrities,
Caused a lot of opportunities.
Made the proud humble,
Created hardship and hurdle.
Even the mighty America had more cases than Africa.
Not forgetting Britain,
Whose head was put in pain.
Swept across Europe,
leaving the likes of Italy in envelope.
Moved over to Spain,
And heavily whipped them with a cane.
Went around the Earth like an atomic bomb,
Made most people sweat, and kept some leaders dumb.
But there's one thing it did...
It made most countries live at peace indeed.
Cos they joined hands to fight,
And put the pandemic to flight.
Don't hug or shake they say,
Make sure you always pray,
On every part spray,
Like ten times a day.
Together we won,
Cos we all joined hands all as one,
And had it all gone,
Even before the setting of the sun,
And in a few months we were done.
In faith we overcame,
It left just as it came,
And we rose like tho we were lame.
We praised God's name,
And He blessed us all the same.
All of these lines from White,
Who strongly believed we'd win the fight.
