The Ephemeral Summer Fromance
April’s breezy summer
So blissful, yet a bummer
June came when all went aflame
It was fair game, cause she was to blame
South she used to enjoy
He was somewhat of a special boy
But they put the same old records on
Soon got tired and wanted him gone
Wanting was not enough
She fled sweet South
Then met with True Blue
But missed what was true
Esty wandered so far
That when she came back
The disrupted soundtrack
Painfully left him her scar
Prayed that he’d forgive her
Said yes, but what a blur
Trying to redeem her crime
But no, it was finally time
Enough was enough
Packed his bags and fled
For days her tears were shed
He was never hers to lose
About this poem
about an experience, a story I had to get off my chest
