City Rising

Normality, frivolity, the
Beating heart of the city.
The tram moving, dum dum,
With recognisable regularity.
Hazy, hot and laced
With humidity.
A new day dawning, a
Fuzzy sense of clarity.
Cafè allongè, but first
Show me your purity.
You can't sit here if
You dont have immunity.
Despondent, fearful, or
A cheerful propensity.
Impossible to know
If we all hide our
Identity.
