Confused and Infatuated:
Why am I so obsessed with you?
I think about you constantly, wondering how your day is going and if you’ve finally found someone to replace me or not.
If I'm ever bothering you or if you’re maybe just lying to me, with false hope.
If one day you get tired of me and won’t want to acknowledge me anymore...
Why am I so desperate for you?
Why can I see my future with or without you but am pained by it being without you.
Should I maybe just give up and try to live in the moment?
Maybe just appreciate being single for now?
What if someone takes your heart before I’m able to get to it.
I just don’t have it in me to want to be a homewrecker.
I want to see you happy even if it is at the expense of mine.
Maybe our relationship wouldn’t be good anyways.
Besides, our energies are so….
different ,
Who am I to say you’d even be accepting of me in the first place.
I’m wondering who you’ll end up with rather than focusing on my own.
It’s just in me to want to care so much for you.
Maybe I should just give you some space?
Why do I even like you in the first place?
Why should your validation mean so much to me?
Am I even important to you?
Do I matter?
Do you see me in your future?
I think I fell for your the first time I made you giggle,
Not laugh or even laugh until you cry…
But giggle
Innocent, vulnerable and childlike.
I think maybe I just want you let me in
I wanna be able to get to know you, tell me your deepest secrets,
Your wildest fantasies
Your fears and aspirations.
I promise I'd never tell a soul.
I’d never think to leave you.
