Why do i make people a priority in my life, when I'm only an option in theirs
Why do I feel so abandoned, and it seems like no-one cares
Why do I feel this loneliness, way deep down in my bones
Why do I stare at the screen whole day, hoping that someone phones

Why is time irrelevant to me, when spending it with a friend
Why do I so gratefully accept, the little or no time they spend
Why do I continue yearning for things, when I know it can never be mine
Why do I hide my feelings, and pretend that I am fine

Why do I continue being there, long after they walked away
Why do I keep hoping, they'll care enough to stay!
