When Night Falls

Your mother leaving isn’t  like my mother leaving my path was set for me before my life began. My pain is my story and nobody can tell it but me. My days were bright but oh my nights .. my nights they were dark they were scary and lonely.  The world is a dangerous place but nothing is more dangerous then my mind. The thoughts that follow when the sun goes down. It’s easy to escape during the day. I’m free . I go out in the world and become anybody I want . I get to be the confident girl who has everything together . I get to be happy and for split second I actually believe those thing about me. Then night falls and I wake up from the dream and just like that I’m back in my reality.
