The shadow

The shadow that looks through my window in the middle of the night is the evil spirit that carries no light

The shadow tries to take my soul but i make a getaway

The shadow is here forever  till it gets my soul but I don’t want it stay

The shadow will always look through my window in the middle of night till the dawn breaks the darkness with its light

About this poem

I wrote it during my teen days it’s the only one I remember every word because i would sit in my room writing poems everyday but this one for some reason i loved it and i wrote my poem on this site back in the late 2000s but it’s not on this sight anymore or i was asked if they could publish it in the book of poetry
