Black Man
Kelvin Williams 2003 (Bayelsa,Yenagoa)
Always in my room,if only I could
Keep imagining forever, then trust me I would
I've been up and down my dreams I ain't Robin hood
All my sorrow stole my laughter, now I know I should,
Have been a little louder about my prospects
A body lying on the road and I'm the suspect
A quiet nigga been known dangerous from the onset
Feels good as my tears flow into the sunset, and now I'm upset,
Mr man now let the truth be told
Cause I don't see no reason not to sell my soul,
I've spent a lot of living on this lonely road
Forget about forgiving, I'll turn their hands cold,
I bring up and drop myself only God knows
How my responsibilities overflow
Angels watch my life like they're watching a show
Hard for me to differentiate friend from foe
That's a black man's story, we don't reap what we sow.
