The Love Hack
What if I told you love doesn't employ but destroys,
Love is simply here to distract and annoy,
Love is nothing more than a ploy,
Love has played us all like toys,
Now gather round girls and boys,
Quiet down and listen to how love makes noise,
It cries, it lies, it breaks marital ties, it bribes,
Love is a chameleon, a shape with limitless sides,
Love doesn't desire it's designed, to take over your vision leaving you blind,
It's a condition that has you conditioned, I'm reinventing your cognition,
Before you knew or ever learned this false definition,
I have many suspicions, What if love is merely an emotional invention,
A drug that puts you afloat then turns into dissention,
I've discovered and uncovered love & it's cruel intentions,
It's electrical current goes everywhere without grounding,
So understand why your sporadic & your hearts pounding,
It's harmones, pheromones and a host of endorphins,
Love is a representation of Abortions and Coffins,
Some will give their heart and love as if up for auction,
Love is used only for emergencies & given with extreme caution,
So what if love is not the remedy but the disease
It's meant to feel painful and makes your heart bleed,
Love flees and it's costly it's not for free,
After finding this thing called love I found, it's not all that heavenly
About this poem
This is my depiction of unconventional love. Tainted love. The Love some view as beauty can be seen as cruelty, I want to awaken & explore the mind deliberately with What If... Well What If Love Isn't What The Fairytales have written?
