Stay or Go
This relationship feels toxic,
can't breathe I'm hypoxic.
More and more I feel sick.
Time goes by tick tock tick
I'm losing my life I wanna die.
This pressure on my soul just makes me cry.
I don't wanna hurt you but don't wanna lie,
there is too much turbulence between you and I.
The conflicts are many and love can do so much,
but lately, I feel exposed, and my heart I need to clutch
I give you my love, my life, my money, my time, so much.
In the end like dust, I'm pulverized and crushed.
It's not you it's me, cliche but kinda true.
I'm not blaming you, it's just all we've been through.
Snowball down a mountain, just grew and grew.
This snowball of a conflict is bigger than me or you.
I love you so much, I can't believe I may have to say,
that I can't handle things staying this way.
I miss my old life, like a piece of myself has gone away.
Kept thinking it would get better, but as long as I stay,
the more lost I'll become more my soul is chiseled.
One year has aged me, left me warn out and grizzled.
My head is hot, thinking in overtime, brain fizzled.
I need to clear the fog in my mind, and the tears I've drizzled
I don't know what I want, to stay or to go.
But I need time alone to think until I know.
It's not a lie to say with my life, I love you so.
But for both our sakes, we need the answer to show.
What is best for us both, do I stay, do I go?
About this poem
If you've ever been in a relationship that was serious, but there are so many outside factors keeping you two from being happy. you know how this feels. to realize you care about someone with everything you have, but that it's slowly killing you too. You reach that point where you have to seriously ask yourself, do I stay, or do I go?
