Bed
Trynt James Miley 2005 (Oh)
As left and right
Merge into center,
My thoughts form pictures
Through walls I venture,
I paint my feelings
To find a way
To make it through
Another day,
I close my eyes
As I lay
In the dark
And in the cold,
Yet this hard bed
Doesn't feel old.
So as left and right merge into center,
My thoughts form fingers, long and slender,
I reach into my broken mind
And pull apart all things I find,
I take my heart and don't let it sink,
As I find myself in a place I think,
I bury my feelings to find a way
To make it through another day,
I close my eyes as I lay
In the dark and in the cold,
But this hard bed
Just can't feel old...
About this poem
I wrote this while thinking about my bedroom, which is where I spend almost all of my time and the only place where my anxiety goes away entirely.
