Staci Tate

Different and unique. Beautifully different. Hidden unknowns. Puzzled and confused. They are. Why and why not. Be like us. Choose our way. Adapt. I am me and you are you. We are we.
I can’t be the way that you need me to be
Please do me a favor and see
Disability awareness
Don’t laugh and stare
I can’t help being me
Difficult
I am not
Complex
Maybe
Don’t try to understand
You'll just hurt yourself
These are the cards I was dealt
I wrote this poem because it’s how I felt
