I Live, Adopting Tragedy, Watching, Guiding Home

I live by the rivers of truth,  like seasons,
each river flows with various paths and feelings.
I can never accept the tragedy unfolding,
it never settles well for many reasons.

Like a tree, stretching out for the love of light.
Each branch twisted, straight, curled or broken.
Judgement comes, like a bitter wind,
cold and stinging, like an emotional token.

I live by a code like a rose, beautiful with thorns.
Guarded, radiant, blooming with each insight.
Vulnerable to the full light the truth shines.
Bleeding thorns to make things right.

I live to love like an eagle that flies.
Each wind takes me higher, further and lighter.
Healing from flight, freedom to breathe.
Living to remember,  be humble and a fighter.

Like the stars in the night sky.
Each twinkle, I pray lifts your wishes high.
My heart was in the right place, even tragic as it falls.
My continued prayers go into the sky.

Like a fire-fly, blinking, disappearing, reappearing.
Each light streak guides them if they follow.
And theres a million more like me.
Shining, blinking, praying for tomorrow.
A better day to come.

About this poem

I tend to put my heart out there as an emotional sponge that wants to love, live and help others while journeying through life. The Rose is definitely an attribute to who I am, yet I am wounded by my own thorns. A reminder how we destroy or hurt ourselves in pursuits of helping or lifting others up, or trying to guide the horses to the water troughs. Be kind. Be love and God Bless.
