Thoughts Of Thee

Sweet thoughts of thee, my love, I keep,
Of days gone by, when we did laugh and leap.
In fields of green, where daisies bloomed,
And in each other's arms, our joy was doomed.

Yet still, I feel thee by my side,
Thy voice so soft, in the wind that rides.
Thy gentle touch, in the summer's heat,
A memory so real, can't be beat.

But alas, my love, how thou art gone,
Leaving me here, to mourn and moan.
The pain it cuts, as sharp as a knife,
Thy absence, a wound, that takes my life.

Oh, how I long, to feel thee near,
To hold thee close, and wipe away thy tear.
But all that's left, is memories sweet,
Of thee, my love, so bittersweet.

So, I shall hold, these memories close,
Till the end of time, and all time goes.
For thou art part, of who I am,
And I shall love thee, till the end of time, my lamb.
