Breaching the Saline, all a-bubble.
Doug Blair 1951 (London)
We are out all morning
Watching, waiting.
Leviathan is out here
Whining, dining deep down.
But a sighting
Ours to own?
Sea birds frequent a spot.
Plummeting
Small fish for Lunch.
But what brought them up high?
Needn’t wonder why
Leviathan.
Then a hush
Waters open a touch
Comes a form
Prehistoric like Job. (Chapter 41)
Twisting, undulating
Barnacle robe.
He has come for the Sun
And some Air.
Brotherhood re-invented.
There.
