Dragonfly
Ax.Barajas 1980 (Illinois)
In a world so delicate and fragile.
Amongst the shrubs and mushroom
patches.
Fly beneath the branches into fields
of green.
Hiding from the hawks or whatever
danger lurks your way.
The secrets you keep.
The things you've seen.
The colors of turquoise and green
Running down your spine.
A tiny streak you leave behind.
Flapping your wings at every second.
Following the path to the land of
enchantment.
Dragonfly tiny mighty warrior you are.
With your serpent tail and your eyes
full of wonder.
Got me into his dragon spell.
Fly beyond the clouds to an undying
sun. In valleys of endless seas and
hollow trees.
To sleep beneath the stars. For
tomorrow awaits new adventures.
Free from worries.
Free from fears.
Free from all that holds you back.
To another place within the vines.
Just until it's time to hide once again
from those dreadful hawks.
Mighty dragonfly. Fly fly fly away.

About this poem
I wrote this in a sense that we sometimes forget about nature and the things that happen out side our window. We sometimes take for granted the things we don't see. Nothing is what it seems. Enjoy!!
