Dear Lying Lover
Icalynn "Icey" Hawley 1993 (Las Vegas NV)
Dear Lying Lover,
How does it feel to have to be undercover?
Hiding in places only you could hover because you can see that clearly, I'm done thoroughly.
And that breaks your heart doesn't it? That makes you think hard doesn't it?
Like, "how could she be done with me, when I gave her everything?" But baby you didn't give me everything. You barely gave me your heart. We were supposed to have a fresh start, but no.
Clearly, your heart has hardened. Broken apart but you blamed me for your lack of empathy when really it was never me but you not having love for yourself. You not reaching out for help.
God knows I can't fix you, nor can I change you. So i made the choice to exchange you for the peace you robbed me of when you made me feel like I was unworthy to love, like nothing I did was ever enough. I pray to my God up above for you, only He knows I've got all the love for you, but I can't do this anymore. I walked out of that door knowing this was it, it's finally clicked. I have to stay gone because you have made me sick. Your lies of love so thick it's ridiculous.
Someone who loves me would never corrupt me. Never make me feel like they never truly loved me.
So again, lying lover, I pray for you. I pray that you find something new that makes you happy and become who you want to be. I pray that a good life, you'll eventually see. But forever in this life, without me you'll be.
