Just to Get High

I got high cause I didn’t wanna deal with this life I got.

My mind goes numb and I know its all gonna be alright.

I keep smoking til I feel I can make it another night

I got high

Repeat the cycle everyday

I grab the bic and start my day with a hit

My life has been outta control all because of this shit.

And now its all I can do to make me feel alive

I take a look in the mirror and don’t even know the stranger looking back at me.

Then I get angry and all I know is to take another hit

I know where this road goes

Dope isn’t my friend but yet it’s the only loyalty I’ve known

Its stuck by my side most my life

Its made me cold and numb

Got me looking dumb

But I keep twistin the bowl just to make it thru this hell I’m in

I know it’s a problem but how do u fix what u crave the most

To take it away would be taking part of my soul

So I just keep looking in the glass wishing it was my last

I need something to help me quit but how when it’s the only medication I know
