My Son So True
Susanne Grill 1978 (Downey)
My Son SoTrue
I owe it to you,
My son, so true.
No matter how far it seams,
I’m that ray of light,
from the sun, that beams.
On the roof top,
to the left, at the highest end.
Watching you tell moonlight,
from the room your Sitting in.
Like diamonds in the sky,
shining so bright,
Hear me whisper, I’m here with you, every night.
Remember me singing,
as I’m tucking you in,
I see the walls too close,
your hurting within.
Such Little hands and little feet,
My little boy,
Held you so close, as you fall asleep.
Hand in hand, Heart to heart,
You saved me,
when my world was torn apart.
I prayed,
asked god for a reason,
Then you came,
brightened all seasons.
That moment,
you took my heart.
Because of you I will not fail,
will not fall apart.
No matter what we go through,
All trials and tribulations.
Never will I give up on you,
With no hesitations.
I’ll always be right here,
waiting for you.
I love you son,
My boy, so true.
If I'm chosen,
to win this competition.
I'll give it to my son,
thank you all for your recommission.
About this poem
Communication with my son through the universe. I have only seen my son one time in three years. He has been in prison for over three years now for a crime that wasn’t his fault. He has never been arrested or in trouble prior to this as well. Smart boy who graduated with honors and golden seal presidents award on his diploma. Went to cal state Fullerton and was management in his position, along with starting his own business at the age of 20. He just had his 27th birthday in prison. He's going to fire camp soon. I await for him, although it's been hard to breath, I'll see him soon in 2025. more »
