The blackboard marks borders
A sea, a mountain delimit
A floating house and clouds
Sigh air of crimson skies
Of talc. How can the firmament
Cough, chase stars from the chest
And bleed?
Advertising.
Your mother renews
The courtyard of the house, you see her ironing
Every petal, the blades of grass in the garden,
Polishing lemons for dinner,
Passing the rag in the garden
Removing dust, those mites
Of skin that raised you?
Advertising.
Now, why don’t you eat at home and with
Friends you move away from her drinking beers?
The sky coughs up advertising that
Feeds you, you should think of her,
Go to her, hands on wheat hair
Caress that withered face
Cleansed of dry tears.
Advertising.
You sing songs, turn off the nights
Before going to bed in full morning.
On the purple sky sails
Driven by the roar of a cough
Of talc.
Advertising.
Use the oars
Don’t be at the mercy of torments,
Lower the sails, you are not a sailor
Nor do you know the winds, coughs and sighs
Of heaven; better to sail on drops
Of rain from a tender pond
That gives breeze to hair on the horizon
Without roots where seagulls fly without wings
Without suitcases like spiders wearing brooms
To sweep canvases painted by mice of mute shadows
As are vampires and zombies, ghosts hanging
On the mechanical brain.
Go to the site
Of poets, ask for food and lodging
A brand new house, a wedge
To fix the belief.
May your house be brand new,
Have a brand new son, I wish you.
Advertising.
Your mother brushes, your mother dreams
Lemons in salad wait
For you to return.
Don’t come back, don’t come back
To a second-hand life.
About this poem
Tua madre spazzola, tua madre sogna I limoni in insalata attendono Che tu faccia ritorno.
