The Beach
The summer sun is fading low,
As rushing waves forever flow,
Onto the beach and sandy shore,
And gulls above begin to soar.
The smell of salt is in the breeze,
As sunset glares through dancing trees,
The ocean moves across the sand,
And life abounds upon the land.
The cooling air moves through the night,
As moon and stars give somber light,
A peace abides within the bay,
As all await the newborn day.
