The ⛽️ station
I work at the gas station. All day, people are coming in and going out. They buy all sorts of things: cold beverages, snacks, pastry items, candies of all sorts, lotto tickets, cigarettes and alcohol, some just need some gas. It's so convenient, maybe even a little pricey. There are all kinds of interactions at the gas station. Some folks just get what they need and leave. However, there are some who are loyal customers who visit 2, maybe 3 times a night. There are some who feel that working at the gas station is beneath them, and that makes you beneath them also. At times, there is an exchange of greetings , and sometimes, there isn't. There are times when you put your money in my hand, and there are times you throw your money on the counter at me as if I were some type of animal who should fetch. There are times when I'm asked with a please and a thank you. However, there are times when entitled people do and say entitled things. Because of your status and station in life, you have the right to treat me less than that's what you think. The gas station is the reality of our human condition and the human spirit amongst one another. How do we treat the people who work to serve others? Rudeness, entitlement, argumentative: These are a few of the things I see every day at the gas station.
