She Is
Falling off the boat, she thought she was drowning.
Reaching out to hold on to the boat for dear life.
There was no use as the boat, too, was sinking.
All hope was lost as the only thing that she could rely on, the boat, was of no use to her in the end.
She cried, but alas, no ear received her voice.
Then suddenly, while letting go of the thing that serves her no more, a bright light expanded within her, and she laughed, realizing that she was the water all along.
About this poem
During a conversation with a friend who was having mental and mystical troubles, I came up with the plot and message of this poem. The poem has depth and is insightful, and I'm sure everyone will relate to it. This is a concise, impactful piece.
