Tears
Tears
Showers fall down my face
So sadness finds a way to leave
Every so often joy takes me
On a wet journey of emotions
Too big to contain
Your absence is like these.
Tears come from your space
You share when we’re together
And times when we’re apart
Days spell your meaning
And nights your body
Giving me warmth and beauty.
Watery ways of being real
Leads to rain at the lowest point
This is where compassion grows
Embracing the hurting heart
You show me I matter
Turning tears to relief and release.
