THE BLACK DIAMOND
Whilst I was shopping at the market place,
I suddenly saw you - your diamond face.
I saw that face – so intriguing, captivating,
Fascinating, mesmerising and hypnotising.
Then I saw your eyes – wide and open,
Like Chleopatra’s or the gates of Heaven.
I felt an electric current running through,
It was instantly real and palpable - so true.
Then you smiled and displayed a fine set.
Your teeth were so white and immaculate.
And I spontaneously returned your favour.
Meeting you was such a joy and an honour.
In my sleep, I saw and could not stop staring,
At your diamond face – your skin glittering,
So smooth, spotless, stainless and adorable.
I never saw a face that’s so smooth as a marble.
In my day dreams, I see your dress – so pretty,
It embraces and defines your majestic body.
I see you walking around– so simply graceful.
And displaying a pair of legs – so youthful.
