Truth is

Free verse
The truth is that fractured promises built me.
That God and heaven kept me.
That Ideas of the overprotective and Disney love stole me.
Stole the pieces of my heart that was left.
Left after all the wrong people took their pieces with them.
The truth is that despite being wronged continuously ruthlessly- beautifully I flourished as woman that doesn’t look like what I’ve been through.
The truth is that you can turn that trauma and pain into something you never knew.
