The Breeze of Hope

Zealous Frank 2000 (Nigeria)

The breeze of hope,
Blew me down it lane...

It blew me through the gutters of failure,
And then through the waters of success.

It blew me through the midst of the shadows,
And introduced me to fame along the road.

It blew me through the arena of suffering,
And set up a match with patience and it offspring.

It blew me through the forest of love,
And set me above the highest of them all.

It blew me across the roof of pain,
And introduced happiness as it mithridate.

It blew me through the gatherings of evil,
And showed to me the salon of the faithful.

It blew me across light,
And showed to me it darkness.

It blew me across the stars,
And taught me the significance of the sands.

It blew me through death,
Making me realize the importance of life.

Then it returned me to my place,
So I can restart the journey at my own pace.
