Definition of hope

The definition of hope is defined as a feeling of trust. A feeling this life covered in dust. They tell me hope is a must, just without hope I almost tied the rope. Hanging those feelings to heavy to cope. Just like my father, killing his self with dope. I save myself thinking nope I can’t be like a man who never found his definition of hope. Hopeless, alive but not living. A life was loss A death occurred. I realize I was going through stages of grieving. Believing I was okay ,I was in denial. In a trial filled with anger. Bargaining with the past. I asked how long with this depression last. Seeking help of a profession, twice a week in therapy sessions. Accepting my imperfections I was pointed in the right direction, with many hours of reflection. Finally accepting the death of who I used to be. Accepting the new me. See through all the pain I thought I couldn’t cope I found my own definition of hope. Hope is living, living life giving to my needs. Giving myself space to breathe. Breathing in light. Finding beauty in the darkness. Like stars shining bright at night
