Cherry Blue
she said, “is that a smoke I smell?”
he said, “is it a sign from hell?”
she said, “I guess people never change..”
he said, “not as often as it rains”
she said, “But I smoke now; every now and then.”
he said, “And I’m smoking. I’m smoking again.”
she said, “it’s killing me.”
“time?”, he asked
she said, “this sweet tea”
“it’s too sweet!”, he gasped
“you’re heartless”, she said
“as you are Godless”, he said
“now that’s just cruel”, said she
“so is this heartfelt duel”, said he
“how much longer?”, she said
“till death falls dead”, he said
“the night is dimly lit”, she said
“I think it’s time that I quit.”, he said
“I can barely see you”, she said
“your eyes fuel enough stars they come out to see you”, he said
“is that sweater new?”, she said
“it’s just cherry stained blue”, he said
“can you be serious, for once?”, she said
“you know my roses hold guns”, he said
“is this your final attempt?”, she said
“I sin, so to you I can repent”, he said
“godless, you said?” she said
“heartless, you said?”, he said
“useless.”, she said
“what is?”, he said
“this he said, she said”, she said
“the she said”, he said
“the he said”, she said
“more tea?”, he said
“do you love me?”, she bled
“this is more sour.”, he said
“not more than this hour.”, she said
“you are my heaven.”, he said
“how are the sins only seven?” she said
“your mind wanders there?”, he said
“it wanders everywhere. “ she said
“since when?” he said
“sins, then. “ she said
“you think it’s useless?”, he said
“I think you’re ruthless.” , she said
“you are my temple.”, he said
“you make me tremble.”, she said
“you give me shivers.”, he said
“you make me quiver.”, she said
“the tea’s getting cold.”, he said
“and this is getting old.” , she said
“youth is long gone.” , he said
“you have it all wrong.” , she said
“talk more.” he said
“what for?” she said
“for this old man that begs.” he said
“for his cruel heart and regretful legs.” he said
“for his old sweater that is just blue”, he said
“I’ll denounce my heart before you. “ he said
“you have turned me bitter.” she said
“that voice is my pillar.” , he said
“die in its ruins.” she said
“don’t tempt me because i’ll do it.” he said
“I’m going to bed. “ she said
“and may death fall dead.” he said
“I love you. “ she said
“I think death just fell dead“ he bled.
