Dark
Robert loughran 1962 (Ireland)
Empty hours without involvement,
a passage of dead time.
Dark thoughts knocking incessant,
House invaders of the mind.
A muderous civil war,
neither side can ever win.
Every fact promotes derison,
every out a new way in.
More thoughts just add more kindle,
more help obstructs the way.
Till the mind itself finds quetitude,
and all the voices have had their say.
So when the mind erupts in conflict,
dont add violence to the fray,
Just be attentive to its process
right now things have to be this way.
Thought dissipates when seen for lts pretences.
Allowed some time and,quiet attention
It can return its balanced senses.
