Lisa Wilderman 1968 (Wisconsin)

Free verse
The sky, bruised…grey, deep-blue to purple.
As her lips would be by morning.
Her lips…the same that kissed a once-loving mouth?
A mouth that could also spew lies, hate.
When to quit?
What is “enough?”
Only in death will the answer come.
