Button Pushers
Stealthy demons
Always on the prowl
Preying on the innocent
Flaunting a smile, hiding a growl
Tread lightly friend
As this foe stalks you
Don’t trust them
For they will betray you
They’ll sort you out
And find your weak spots
A relentless search
Which buttons set you off
You’ll know this scoundrel
When you feel their teeth
That eye to eye contact
And you’re the victim they seek
They crave a confrontation
Will stab you in the heart with a smile
They’ll walk away satisfied
Laughing all the while
But now you’re wise
You know what to look for
You’ll feel their presence
As they walk through the door
Don’t give them
Any buttons to push
Resist the urge
To kick them in the tush
Better their own medicine
That they get a taste
If you know them well enough
Just throw it back in their face
