Day Of Ephiphany
Something inside me is changing
I can feel it inside me
And I can see it frame for frame
This year, I am going to change
Cause' all the colors that surround me
Are starting to get brighter
And all the shapes and sounds that's around me
Seem to get bolder even when I'm sober
I don't know but it might be that I'm getting older
And realizing that I may not live forever
Might as well live my life the way I want to
And not give a sh*t, what anybody else thinks
Nowadays, nothing even seems to bother me
Maybe it's because I've learned to forgive
The man who fathered me
And nowadays, everything just seems to move slower and slower
But my life is going faster and faster
Faster then it ever has before
I can wake up and feel like a man again
But I can also fall asleep
Like a baby, in my mother's arms again
I was always afraid of the
Calm before the storm
But now I realize, the aftermath
Isn't so bad after all
And everything around me is changing
The faces I once knew just aren't the same anymore
And the places I've been to
Are starting to get worn out
They will soon get torn down, no more
And I've come to realize
That anything worth a d*mn
is worth fighting for
Cause you've got to be able to walk outside
And taste the rain
After the lightning roars
