In the Barking Wind
For bullishly standing by your "son" who's
In fact, older than you, you are, why you are--
Number one...why you are--
The strongest...and why you are--ahem!
Also number one among "the most hated."
The richest--hands down, you give the world
The most...and you give by sharing what you
Have sacrificed hard to achieve, yet
They say, "you are not being fair..." and they
Hate you so much, they want you--dead.
And you cannot say and admit that, indeed--
You are not being fair...by "playing favorite."
What you are saying (to yourself) is that
You cannot afford not to...because it is as
Reasonably practical as it is plainly "written."
So what about that which is "loudly heard
In the barking wind" echoing the cries of those
Whose loved ones have--in the dark of night
And--middle of day fallen?
