The Rain Again
The city plunged into the dark
That's rain again, another one.
As though something gripped the sun and stuck
It using dagger with grace of an alluring swan.
The heavens have split open and now.
Soft water's gushing on the wicked ground.
An omnipresent shade of all black crow
Completes a gothic ambience with creepy sound.
Surroundings are seized with total grayness:
Just black&white and all shades in between.
Some draw from that only sadness,
The rain is giving me a chill like metal pin.
There are reflections everywhere
Covered up by fuzzy turbid film.
These liquid blot-like mirrors can drown flare
Inflicting pain like glass with broken rim.
The rain itself is pretty healer.
A cure for a bleeding gash.
A bullet neutralizing cocky killer.
Skyey water fills an ocean with loud splash.
The Brooklyn Bridge sank down in haze
Along with black and dripping cloaks.
They're flaunting over the pavement, that's a maze
Of tangled hairs soaked up with smoke.
The rebel rain flushes away all colors,
Dissolves the paints in caustic acid.
May this be unintended? A modern artist follows
Old monochrome style and tries to taste it.
Thick icy mist is floating around streets.
Gleam of nostalgia abruptly washes through my mind
Like ghosts from past left their fingerprints
Upon my memory having been blind.
Lives, destinies and dreams –
All twisted like tree roots under wet ground
Or snakes laying on the bed of love; it seems
If those ties were visible, it could astound.
The cozy veranda we're sitting on.
Your chic perfume intoxicates me strongly.
Time stopped and all around was gone.
The rain is murmuring to us: “You're not lonely”.
Night rendezvous, a charming symphony
Of water drops that flicker by the moonlight.
Let others think this is cacophony.
An awe-inspiring scene I'd die for – it's rain riot.
A thunderstorm awakens fear
That lurks somewhere in the night
Completely ready to attack and gain my tear.
Flash of inhuman eyes through evanescent light.
The light going along with the celestial quake.
A doze of branchy cracks cover the sky.
They blaze like glassy surface of a lake.
My inner voice is shrieking: “That beauty is sly”.
And sweeping lightnings are transfixing land.
God throws curses to inhabitants of Hell.
Servants of Devil are out to ease his hurt and mend
The bloodstained slashes. Can he be felled?
Rain's falling also inside of me:
Life-giving water floods into my inward space.
It soothes psychic wounds and I don't have to flee
Like werewolf running off full moon's embrace.
Blood clots are soaking transparent liquid up.
That blend is coursing through my system.
His Majesty The Rain spilled an elixir cup
That somehow had found me, so it appears I'm victim.
The downpour – pure tears of innocence and pain.
Betrayer twists his hands around angel's throat
And squeezes it with fury in the eyes and boling blood and veins.
The salty sea where an illusive hope stays afloat.
The angel craves for struggling out of grip,
His graceful body shakes of fright.
Flows of water gain momentum; despair's endeavoring to creep.
Ensanguined spray color white wings; horrendous sight.
The rain is dwelling in my soul.
They say there is such state of mind.
Longing for someone, I feel my chest has gaping hole:
Some part of me is disappeared; that break snarls like a stricken lion.
But outside it's different though
We're partaking of atmosphere of evening,
Step out into the pouring rain to go,
Like zombies, meet the sunset; so perfect falling.
The falling our mental bodies make,
They're relishing in an abundance of mild brown.
Spatter of juicy fruits illume the sky and slake
Our thirst for seeing virgin beauty in which one can immediately drown.
