Trembling Aspen

A hare hops over the street
Eager - he has leverets to feed
A car crosses its way
With his life it has to pay
And the aspen are trembling forever

A goose lifts up in the air
For its goslings it has to care
A plain crosses its way
With his life it has to pay
And the aspen are quivering forever

An otter dives for fish
For its cubs it needs the dish
A boat crosses its way
With his life it has to pay
And the aspen are quaking forever

A deer jumps over the street
It has a fawn, is not in heat
A track crosses its way
With his life it has to pay
And the aspen are trembling forever

A hawk hovers over the field
Protecting its eyas as if with a shield
A bullet crosses its way
With his life it has to pay
And the aspen are quivering forever

An eel slithers through the grass
About its elvers it makes no fuss
A tractor crosses its way
With his life it has to pay
And the aspen are trembling forever
