yesterdays heroes
never to be forgotten
distant vivid memories
of many a victory gotten

yesterdays heroes
oh so many of them
everyday women
everyday men

yesterdays heroes
not one died in vain
remembered for always
etched on the brain

yesterdays heroes
to them i write this poen
for all of the heroes
who never came home
