Stand Up
Isaiah 1980 (Kansas City)
Stand Up' Stand Up' Stand up for what is right
Stand Up' Stand Up' Stand up, pick yourself up and fight.
Violence and Crime only will give us a hard time.
What do we got to prove?
Every time we turn the T.V. on, just nothing but sad news, bad news.
Stand Up' Stand Up' Stand Up for your rights
Stand Up' Stand Up' Stand up and live your life.
Bondage's and Chains' let it rain' let it rain' thank you YAH for letting us being able to endure the pain. I can't complain.
I'm trying to explain, it use to be a time when family stuck together, A time we were placed in shackles, placed on the cotton fields.
Fighting for freedom, just wanting to survive.
Open your eyes' even a baby bird has to learn how to fly.
Dropped from a tree' in the little baby birds early years, dropped to his or hers misery.
Stand Up' Stand Up' Stand up if you know I am right.
Stand Up' Stand Up' Stand up and enjoy your life.
Let it go'
Let it show'
Let them know even you can have the glow.
We have to know the difference between our thoughts and our feelings, and what is truly real.
Stand Up' Stand Up' Stand up and be the American Dream!
Stand Up' Stand Up' Stand up before you miss the light.
Don't let the past determine who you are'
Doesn't matter what color or race you are' we all are a creation of YAH!
Brothers and Sisters' white' brown' Mexican' even the Africans.
North' South' East' and West' Have it sunk in yet!
Stand Up' Stand Up'[ Just Stand Up For What Is Right]
