Analysis of Paper Walls

Kelly L 1982 (Philly)

Paper walls and petty things
Broken hearts and dusty books
Worn out tools and wedding rings
Stolen heart, thieves and crooks

Tattered tears, shattered stairs
Wasted dreams by the door
Maddened mind - no one cares
Shards of glass on the floor

Fated love by the sink
Twisted chains, unmended fences
Washed away by bleeding ink
Pay the fare for consequences

Lonely heart, darkened sun
Faded light, absent sky
Rising moon and you're done
All caught up in the lie

Weakened heart, shattered soul
Breathless days, lonely hours
Barely breathing, left unwhole
Burnt and broken towers
