Analysis of Between A Career And A Path
Falling into a job
casual dress up, as a slob
can't dress up, I'm feeling cheap
new suits I don't want to keep
but I need to buy food, so I can eat
I buy lunch, but it's your treat
when job turns to career
the boss holds fire up to your rear
this ties choking my neck
this is a problem and it's a wreck
the career path isn't that bad
I make lots of money but still I'm sad,
don't be that way young lad
you'll retire one day and be glad
between now and those days
It's the career, not the job that pays
here's 500 business cards, as a praise
don't let anyone tell you it's a phase
a corner office outlook window gaze
from the mailroom up, it's a maze
