Analysis of The King of Glory
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
For Your name sake,
Pardon my guilt;
Too great to take,
Darkness has built.
Who fears the Lord,
Teaching the way;
As to afford,
How to obey.
His soul abides,
In well-being;
The One who hides,
No one seeing.
For the secret,
In His friendship;
Forgives regret,
Fess through worship.
For those who fear,
He makes aware;
When you revere,
Asking in prayer.
My eyes are toward,
Freed from the snare;
Seeing the Lord,
Shows He does care.
Turn unto me,
Mercy and grace;
Help me break free,
Bonds of this place.
I am lonely,
And afflicted;
For I only,
Freed what I did.
Troubles of my heart,
Have been enlarged;
Make stress depart,
What I am charged.
Pain from trouble,
Forgive my sin;
Saved from rubble,
Cleanse me within.
