Analysis of Trapped Souls
Looking through the looking glass
They look, but they don't see
It fades from all
In the disconnect
For Logic had to flee
Eyes so lonely
Gave up hope
The needle brings the sting
Conscious fades
The lost are bound
The death of Hope, it brings
Slow and steady
Automatic bliss
Trapped and looking at the floor
And no one cares
No bonding forms
Checked out forevermore

About this poem
This poem is in memory of my low times in my battle with addiction, and is in remembrance of anyone we've lost to drug addiction. These "trapped souls" fought hard, and their time ran out before they got to truly be souls"set free".
