Analysis of An Unsent Letter and an Unanswered Question
Kaushik Ghosh 1979 (Calcutta)
Lazy Sunday afternoon,
Sitting in my balcony
Counting on my joyous times
Smiling on my agony.
Scattered papers on my desk -
Some new, some old and dreary-
Interleaved an unsent letter
And some unquenched query.
Distant sunshines flushed my eyes
And then drenched me some fresh rain,
Swiped me ineffable joy
And hits me unspoken pain.
Those old papers on the table
An envelop cresson,
Unsent letter in my hand
And an unanswered question.
Moments hovering on a screen,
Torn and old and turning grey-
Far off memories flashing by
Some relevant and some stray.
Breeze from outside whirled the papers
Whirled the rhyme and reason,
Unsent letter in my hand
And an unanswered question.
