Analysis of O Amor Contragosto

Renato Sakate 1978 (Botucatu)

Ah linda rosa da noite esquecida,
mostra-me a seiva que esconde teu vinho,
mostra-me o feto que esconde teu espinho.
Deixe-me sim saborear tua bebida!

Ah doce rosa que invade meu ninho.
Trouxe-me o vento, o perfume da vida!
Trouxe-me a luz, a beleza tão ímpar...
Trouxe-me Deus a correr no caminho.

Quero-te rosa! Mais que outros, mais que outras!
Hei de lutar nesta terra, meu posto!
Hei de buscar as tuas pétalas soltas

para que tenhas na língua, meu gosto!
Para que venças guerrilhas vindouras...
Para que sintas meu amor contragosto.
