Analysis of The Man I thought I knew

Karae W. 1975 (florida)

"The Man I thought I knew"

When we met was the most caring, lovable man around, always entintive, wanting to be loving.
When the days grow long and time flies by, the words start to fade.
When the days grow long and time fades, the actions speak louder.
As the days end and shorten, he is accusing and blaming, not a care of me.
As the days grow short, the love once there fades away, as he pushes me away for someone else.
As we sit in a room, the silence is mere.
The passion once has left and nowhere nearby.
The things i have learned are making me sick, to find out he likes others more than me.
When we talk it's arguing and pain?
Where love once was, is no more.
The man once loved has turned not to be there.
The man I once loved, has disappeared.
Where's the man I thought I knew...........

About this poem

Is about a man I thought I knew and turned out I didn't know anything. He is a narcissistic jerk, and I can only let my thoughts out in poetry.
