Analysis of HER

Edna 2006 (Kiambu)

As they said their last goodbyes
Tears streamed their eyes
The years had gone by
None of them thought a time
Would come that she would lie
And wiggle as she tried
To make her breaths, not the last of the night

As he held her to his chest
She grabbed his arms and said
'I'm not afraid to die so try to be brave too'
And she let go and left him broken
But he tried to do as she said-
To be as brave as she was
