Analysis of Don't

Ren Baer 1966 (United States)

Don't try to make me something I am not,
Like the clothes in the window that you just bought,
Don't paint my face that only deceives,
I'm not a mini you but a mini me.
Don't push me so quickly out the door,
I will fall on my face and hit the world's floor.
Don't try to shoot me with your cam,
What's in the image is not who I am.
Don't force me out where I can't understand,
This is no way to teach me how to be a woman.
