Analysis of Praise for the LORD
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Praise the Lord from up in Heaven,
Praise the Lord from in the heights;
Praise the Lord all He has given,
With wisdom everyone delights.
Praise Him and all of His angels,
Praise Him and all of His merit;
Praise Him for all of the gospels,
Praise Him for what we inherit.
Praise Him for the sun and the moon,
Praise Him for all the shining stars;
Praise Him for His Son coming soon,
Who will cleanse all of our scars.
Praise Him to the highest Heaven
Praise Heaven above the waters;
Praise Him for the birthing given,
Fruitful with sons and daughters.
Let them praise the name of the Lord,
Who commanded all creation;
Worship to be loved and adored,
He has given us salvation.
He has established forever,
Decrees shall not pass away;
Commandments that will not sever,
As the same throughout every day.
Praise the Lord over the whole earth,
All the creatures in the deep sea;
Multiply while they give birth,
As the wind tossing waves so free.
Fire and hail the snow and the rain,
Stormy wind fulfilling His Word;
Allows vegetation to gain,
Flowing breeze carries what is heard.
